Thanks Anderson, Inc. (“Thanks Anderson,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through thanksanderson.com, the Bottleneck Finder™ diagnostic, and our related pages and services (the “Services”), how we use and share it, and your choices.
We do not sell your personal information. You can use the Bottleneck Finder without giving us an email address, a phone number, or a name, and we only collect contact details if you ask us to contact you.
Thanks Anderson, Inc. is a marketing, advertising, consulting, and technology company.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- If you request contact or book a meeting: your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method and timing, and anything you write to us.
- If you use the Bottleneck Finder: your answers: your industry, team size, where work slows down, the hours and cost figures you enter, and any free text you type. These answers are not linked to your name, email, or phone number, because the diagnostic never asks for them.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring pages, collected through cookies, similar technologies, analytics, and automated-traffic detection used to distinguish real visitors from bots.
- For the Bottleneck Finder, we store a one-way hashed version of your IP address to limit abuse of the free tool. The hash cannot be reversed to recover your IP address, and we do not use it to identify you.
The Bottleneck Finder
The Bottleneck Finder is a free diagnostic that asks seven questions and returns a written brief. It is designed to be used anonymously.
- No account, email, or phone number is required or requested to use it or to receive your brief.
- Your answers and the resulting brief are stored without contact information. Because they contain no name, email, phone number, or other identifier, we retain them indefinitely so we can keep improving the questions, the rules, and the quality of the briefs.
- If you separately ask us to contact you using the form on the brief, the details you provide are stored with that request so we can reach you. That is the only point at which the diagnostic becomes connected to you.
Don’t type sensitive information into the free-text fields. The diagnostic asks about business processes. It does not need, and you should not provide, personal health information, financial account numbers, government identifiers, customer records, or anything confidential to a third party.
Artificial intelligence and third-party processing
The Bottleneck Finder and some of our other tools use third-party artificial-intelligence services to write and format output.
- The recommendation itself, what kind of fix applies, what we would build, and the price range, is produced by our own rules engine, not by an AI model.
- The AI service puts that result into plain language. To do so, the answers you entered (including free text) are transmitted to our AI provider for processing.
- We do not send your name, email address, or phone number to the AI service, because the diagnostic does not collect them.
- Our AI provider processes this information on our behalf as a service provider, under contractual restrictions on its use.
AI-generated text can contain errors. Briefs, estimates, and recommendations are informational and are not professional, legal, financial, or tax advice.
How we use your information
To respond to your inquiries; provide, operate, and improve the Services; deliver the diagnostic and its brief; build, deliver, and support AI tools, consulting, and training; schedule and conduct meetings you request; market and advertise our services; maintain security and prevent abuse; and comply with law.
How we share your information
- Service providers that operate our website, hosting, database, CRM, communications, artificial-intelligence processing, analytics, and payments on our behalf.
- As required by law, or to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
We do not sell your personal information. Information obtained through your consent to receive SMS/text messages, including your phone number and opt-in, is not sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
SMS and text messaging
If you opt in, we may send you non-marketing SMS/text messages about scheduling, confirming, and following up on your consultation, and about customer care. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for assistance. Opt-in consent is not a condition of purchase. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics, advertising, and automated-traffic detection. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect site functionality.
Data retention
- Diagnostic answers and briefs contain no contact information and are retained indefinitely in de-identified form, so we can continue improving the tool.
- Contact requests, bookings, and messages are retained as long as needed to respond to you, maintain our business relationship, and meet legal and recordkeeping requirements, after which we delete or de-identify them.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is one hundred percent secure.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your state, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act). To exercise a right, email info@thanksanderson.com. You may unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, and from text messages by replying STOP.
Please note that because diagnostic answers are stored without any identifier, we generally cannot locate or delete a specific person’s diagnostic session: there is nothing in that record connecting it to you.
Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Third-party links
Our Services may link to third-party websites that we do not control and whose privacy practices are their own. We encourage you to review their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent version.
