Custom Sales Training + AI Sales Coach — Thanks Anderson, Inc.
← Practices / Sales Training

Every rep as good as your best one.
On purpose.

Right now your best rep’s talent lives in one head, and everyone else is learning by trial and error on real prospects. I capture how your best selling actually works, train your team on it, and leave behind an AI coach that drills it every day — because the training that isn’t practiced is the training that disappears.

30 minutes · No pitch · If training isn’t your problem, you’ll hear that too

The problem nobody prices in

You’ve probably already paid for sales training. Where did it go?

It went where all one-time training goes. The forgetting curve was first measured in 1885 and has been replicated for 140 years — and the sales training industry mostly pretends it isn’t there.

50%
of new information is forgotten within one hour of learning it.

87%
of training content is forgotten within 30 days without reinforcement.

13%
of people apply new skills on the job without ongoing reinforcement. That’s the part you paid for.

This is why the workshop felt great and the numbers didn’t move. It isn’t your team, and it usually isn’t even the content — it’s that a one-day event was asked to do a job only daily practice can do. Nobody would expect a team to stay in shape from one trip to the gym.

What actually moves the numbers

Practice, repeated, scored. The research is not subtle about this.

+60%
Retention when training is reinforced over time instead of delivered once.
Reinforced vs. single-event training, industry analysis
19%
More often at quota. Reps with continuous coaching exceed quota 19% more often than reps with sporadic training.
Cross-industry sales training analysis
30%
Faster ramp for teams using AI-powered practice, and reps trained on simulations report 25% more confidence handling objections.
Salesforce research; HubSpot

One honest caveat, because this market is full of wild vendor claims: numbers like these depend on the practice being built from your real calls and actually used. Generic AI personas produce generic skills — that finding shows up across the research too. Which is exactly why this engagement starts with capture, not software.

How it works

Capture it. Train it. Reinforce it forever.

01 · Capture · project

Built from your calls, not a book

I sit with your team and your best closers and pull out the raw material generic training never has:

  • The exact language your top rep uses when a deal is on the line
  • Your real objection list — the ones your buyers actually raise
  • What your won deals have in common that your lost deals don’t

That becomes a playbook, scripts, and drills for your offer and your call — not sales theory with your logo on it.

02 · Train · project

Live workshops with real reps

Your team gets the playbook and then runs it, out loud, over and over — discovery, objections, closing — until they can hold the call with confidence, not read a script. Practice happens in the room, where the mistakes are free.

03 · Reinforce · ongoing

An AI coach that stays after I leave

A practice partner trained on your business. Reps rehearse against a realistic buyer that raises your actual objections, and every practice call is scored against your playbook. Managers see who’s ready and who needs reps. Your people still make every real call — the coach just makes sure they walk in prepared. This is the reinforcement the decay research says everything depends on.

What you actually get

Not slides. Working documents.

Three excerpts, so “custom playbook” isn’t an abstraction. Details anonymized; the shape is real.

Playbook excerpt
Objection Play #4
From: a 12-rep home services team
The objection
“I need to think about it.”
What your best rep actually does
Doesn’t push. Names the real hesitation out loud — usually price or spouse — and asks which one it is. Word-for-word pattern captured from three winning calls.
Why it works
“Think about it” is almost never the real objection. Naming the real one keeps the conversation alive without pressure.
The drill
Practice rep 3 rounds vs. the AI buyer, scored on whether the real objection surfaces.

What this replaces
Finding out on real prospects, one burned lead at a time.

Captured from your calls. Scored against your playbook. Visible to your managers.

When I’d tell you not to buy sales training

If your problem is lead flow, not conversion. Training a team that has nobody to call fixes nothing. That’s a marketing and pipeline problem, and I’ll say so on the call.

If your managers won’t reinforce it. The research is blunt: reinforcement is the variable, not content. If nobody will own the practice cadence — not even with the AI coach carrying most of it — the money burns. I’d rather tell you that before you spend it.

If your close rate is already strong and your real constraint is capacity. Then you don’t need training — you need hours back. That’s an automation conversation, and it’s a different page on this site.

Not sure which problem you have? Run the Bottleneck Finder — seven questions, free, and it will tell you which one it is, including if it isn’t a training problem at all.

Why me

Most trainers can’t build the tool. Most AI people never carried a quota.

20+ yrs
In sales and management. I still sell today — this isn’t theory from someone who read a book on selling.
$900K → $3M
Multi-state territory I grew over 300% — carrying the number, running the calls, training the people.
~85%
Active adoption on a production AI tool I built, used almost daily by about 20 licensed professionals. Adoption is the whole fight in training — I’ve already won it once.

That last number is the one to sit with. The research says training fails at the reinforcement step — the tool gets bought, the habit never forms, the skill decays. The one thing I’ve proven in production is getting a team to actually use a tool every day. That discipline — training lab, readiness gates, manager visibility, feedback loop — is the same discipline I bring to your team’s practice.

Let’s talk

Tell me how your team sells today. I’ll show you what’s possible.

A 30-minute call — no pitch, no deck. We talk through how your calls run now and where they break. If training isn’t the fix, you’ll hear that on the call and it costs you nothing.
